Fate/Zero

Synopsis

*Fate/Zero* is set ten years before the events of *Fate/stay night*, depicting the Fourth Holy Grail War. Seven mages, known as Masters, summon seven heroic spirits, known as Servants, to fight for the Holy Grail, a powerful artifact that can grant any wish. The story focuses on the struggles of Kiritsugu Emiya, a mage with a tragic past, and his Servant, Saber, as they battle against other participants in the war.

The series explores themes of ideals, sacrifice, and the cost of victory, as each participant has their own reasons for fighting and their own ambitions. Kiritsugu’s ruthless methods and cold-hearted tactics put him at odds with other Masters, including Kirei Kotomine, a priest with a mysterious agenda, and Tohsaka Tohsaka, a young mage with a strong sense of justice.
